  • September is typically one of the nicest months in Chicago, with warm days, cooler evenings, and generally pleasant weather. Average highs are around 75°F, with lows around 57°F over the month.

    In addition to wedding attire, we recommend bringing:

    • A light jacket or layer for the evening

    • Comfortable walking shoes

    • Sunglasses

    • A small umbrella, just in case

    Lakefront weather can change quickly, and September can swing from sunny and warm to breezy and cool by nightfall.

  • Space is limited, so unfortunately we can’t accommodate a lot of children as well as we’d like.

  • Yes! At the event, there will be a QR code and a monitor that will be showing shared celebration photos in realtime. It’s also a wonderful way to share photos with us later. We will also have a Photo Booth onsite for portraits of you and family, friends, and loved ones. And we also have a hashtag (#howardtoryan).

  • Food will be provided featuring fun flavors of Chicago. There will be vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.

  • We’d recommend it. In addition to the celebration on Friday, we will have some scheduled follow-up events on Saturday too.

  • Everything for the main event will be on one floor at street level (including the outdoor patio). There will be ample seating.
